Hiking Abedares

In the now

I chose this link for two reasons: travel + Africa. I’m a proud Algerian and I find it really disturbing that all of Africa – which by the way is way larger than Europe or the US – is depicted in mainstream media with one type of imagery: the poor black kids with minimal clothing due to poverty, their ribcages clearly discernible, poring over something in the sand in what looks like a blazing hot desert wasteland. This blog post features some beautiful pictures of my homeland continent. Enjoy!
