There's not a particular goal for my blog at this moment in time. It's quite literally a creative outlet for my scattered thoughts. I'm not a writer or a poet. But I guess I hover on the sidelines of both. When I work it all out of course I'll be letting everyone know! In the meantime I'd like to find other like-minded bloggers whilst I learn and grow.
I hope that by documenting my introspective journey it can be of some benefit to others, whatever little that may.

Nafisa Rahimi
Salaams! I’m Nafisa, mother of four children, teacher by qualification and an aspiring entrepreneur by heart. Being a co-founder of an educational programme called Super Smart Learners as well as an online community called Muslim Mamas, which I admin with five other special mamas, life is busier than ever. Not Another Mum Pod was our release in Covid-19 Lockdown Ramadan 2020 - a place to chat about all things relevant and all things not; a time to relax and engage in adult conversation away from the mayhem - no joy, I definitely meant to say joy - that children (and husband) bring! It is an honour to do this with someone as fun and as honest as Tas, as you will hear! I am a self-confessed workaholic and dream of an organised, minimalist home. Oh and a full time cook, perhaps a live-in housekeeper, where my time becomes my own. In between all the chaos, I enjoy writing, eating out with friends, travelling and hanging out with the sitcom 'Friends'.
Tasneem Abdur-Rashid
Salaams everyone! My name’s Tasneem and I’m a Muslim mum, wife and writer born and raised in London. Back in the days, before motherhood consumed me, I lived in Dubai and worked across various lifestyle magazines, before dabbling in PR and Corporate Communications. I also wrote and published a best-selling novel during my time in the desert, and I’m currently working on my second book. Watch this space! When I’m not writing, or working (I work in the Media/PR team of a National Charity), or looking after my home and kids, you can usually find me out at restaurants, chilling with friends, catching up with my mum or vegging out in front of the telly with the husband. I also love to read, cook, watch cooking shows, create new recipes, feed people… erm, do you see a pattern here? I’m really excited about launching Not Another Mum Pod with Nafisa and having the opportunity to share my thoughts on issues relevant to us as Muslim women, and I hope you enjoy it too!
Welcome to the madness that is our lives.

I blog this niche because I have breathed the air of negativities throughout my 30 years of life. I let myself surrounded, bullied, slandered, capitalised, humiliated and intimidated by the plastics, the armchair critics and the fast talkers. Desperately surviving the governments, I blended in perfectly with ungrateful cogs in a machine and as well as the fuddy-duddys, the know-it-alls and worse, the lame ducks and obviously, it was a sinful choice. Afterwards, I isolated myself for a quite some time, rewinding and reflecting the life I had. Alhamdulillah, Allah has made me realize the sole purpose of my mere existence. So, referring to my life struggles, this blog is about easing people who are emotionally suffering in every aspect of life concerning their Imaan (faith) to Allah.
A food blog with easy, family friendly recipes. Using only the best ingredients and lots of tips and tricks to make cooking more enjoyable. As a working mother I don't have a lot of time to cook, so I love sharing my quick recipes with the world in hope of helping others.

I have a girl and a boy and I am a stay-at-home mum. I used to be a secondary English teacher, but exchanged that life to become a human handkerchief. I am by no means a parenting expert, if there is such a thing, nor do I intend to advise anyone. I just want to provide a place where I can complain about how annoying my kids and husband are and then boast about how great they are all in the same sentence. There are many mummy blogs out there that provide very sensible and spiritually uplifting advice. Mine is not one of them. But if you're after some refreshing honesty with a side order of contempt then you've come to the right place.

A phrase which I heard when I was a third grader and it remained stuck in my mind ever since. A comparison between two contrasting entities. As I grew older, I understood it in its complete form.
You might topple mighty empires with your sword, but you need a pen to rule them. No doubt the first verse of the Quran is ‘Iqra‘ and what an irony, the literacy rate among the Muslims of the sub-continent is pitiful and more so that of women.
I believe and I hope that I can use my pen as a way to remove various social issues that we as Muslim women deal in our day to day life. This blog, is meant to educate, the women of my community, inform them of their true status Islam provides them and inspire them to be the best, whatever they are good at.

From "Kitchen Diaries" to "Tips on dealing with in laws" to "Poetry" - my blog is a khichdi (a dish) but with spices. I use my blog as a platform to share my opinions. Any topic that interests me or any thought that irritates me or any subject that is shushed away under the rug - makes its way to my blog. While I hold not much in terms of secular education, life and it's experiences have made me who I am today.
